The Force 4 Nature project (F4N) connects local volunteer teams with exciting nature regeneration initiatives happening in their community.
The F4N volunteer teams provide a; friendly, motivated and increasingly experienced and well equipped work force to projects large and small that are actively giving nature the helping hand it needs to recover and thrive.
The team ventures out every week (currently on a Wednesday) to a wide variety of projects, all of which are, in one way or another, helping to increase biodiversity, provide new habitat towards a more symbiotic relationship with nature.
The team is insured, well equipped, has transport & it is free at the point of delivery for the partner projects
101 members, coordinated via WhatsApp, 10-15% weekly turnout
Low carbon footprint, powered by cake, organic fair trade coffee, soup & sourdough!
We are very grateful for the support, guidance and funding received from The Devon Environment Foundation for this project
So far, we’ve..
Planted 1000’s of trees, sown wild flower meadows, built leaky dams, established new hedgerows, community orchards, built no dig veggie beds, revitalised forest school areas, put up bird & bat boxes & much more.
F4N currently has one team operating out of Kingsbridge, South Devon. We cover the South Hams area and even venture onto Dartmoor. We are actively in the process of setting up additional groups in other locations, if you are interested in leading a group or volunteering for one, please get in touch, it would be great to hear from you.
With Over 100 Volunteers
We use WhatsApp to co-ordinate everything from where to meet to what to bring.

“Having been one of the first recipients of help from the Force4Nature team, we can safely say that they have been a total game-changer in the progression of what we have been able to achieve in the 3 years that they have been regularly coming to Deer Wood.
It’s been wonderful to witness the team grow in skills and confidence across the range of conservation woodland management tasks we do here. Our NativeTree Nursery has seen the biggest expansion with help being given across the seasons.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the F4N volunteers who have been assisting us, we really wouldn’t be where we are today without you”
